The Department of Economics at HEC – University of Liège in Belgium is seeking to appoint a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the areas of Microeconomics or/and Applied Microeconometrics. Starting date: 1/10/2018.
The successful candidate is expected to hold a PhD in Economics, teach 4 courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise PhD students and publish in peer-reviewed international scientific journals.
The language of teaching is French at the undergraduate level and English at the Master’s level. The successful candidate is expected to teach one of the 4 courses in French.
The Department of Economics of HEC-Liège is responsible for the organization of the courses in Economics at the undergraduate level and is in charge of running the Master in Economics and the Doctoral school in Economics.
The areas of research of the Economics Department are: public economics and public finance, industrial economics, law and economics, international economics and macroeconomics. The Department is very active in applying for research funds in Belgium and abroad as well as in the private sector.
Starting net monthly salary: 2500 euros approx. (for junior candidates)
The successful candidate will benefit from a generous University Welcome Grant covering research activity expenditures.
