About this role:

An Associate Project Manager is an entry-level program leader of a product or technology development project utilizing a cross-functional team.

 

 Your responsibilities will include:

People Management: Manages cross-functional development teams (with assistance); leads teams effectively; provides input to functional managers on team and team member performance.

Product/Technology Management: Manages the technical challenges of technology application and new product development; identifies, communicates, and manages low levels of technical risk.

Project/Program Management: Manages key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops (with assistance) and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.

Process Management: Implements TDP/PDP; leads team to complete activities to current policies and practices; keeps documentation organized, creates Scaling Plan and Design History File for the project.

Communications and Reviews: Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and the PIB; leads (with assistance) phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.

 

What we are looking for in you

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, or other technical field with 5-7 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Driving to meet project objectives for a functional area (e.g. operations, R&D, packaging, etc.)

Communicating effectively and efficiently in order to gain alignment and drive objectives.

Experience in leading a team

Experience presenting project updates to management/senior management

Familiarity with product development process

Organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills 

Working with external vendors

Creating and maintaining project schedules, proficiency in Microsoft Project

Managing/overseeing project budgets and/or scopes of work

 

Preferred Qualifications

New product development experience, preferably medical device

PMP® Certification or a min of 35 hours of PMI certified coursework
