The Chair for Energy & Resource Economics (CERES) analyses the economics of regulation in energy as well as climate and resource economics. The primary instruments, which are employed, are numerical simulation models (esp. CGE models), experiments and econometric models, to quantitatively estimate and evaluate the effects of policy changes.
Suitable applicants should have sound knowledge in applied microeconomics with experience in empirical economics or Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Models with a focus on Energy and Climate Economics and/or Behavioral Economics. A track record of published (or publishable, i.e. R&R) papers is highly appreciated. Collaboration in ongoing research projects is expected, but there will also be the opportunity for independent research.
The position is equipped with competitive salary and funds for conference travel. The initial employment contract will be for three years
