The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic and Interactive Design program includes a strong foundation in typography, symbology, design vocabulary, and design history with a broad range of upper-level courses in visual branding, advertising, publication design, information design, packaging, web and responsive design. These courses are supplemented with general education requirements, directed electives, and art history. Seniors focus on the development of their thesis project and a final portfolio.
Our faculty, who are practicing professionals, work closely with students to inspire and help them develop and expand their creative abilities. In addition, students have the opportunity to receive feedback on their work by visiting designers and distinguished alumni. Graduates of our program work in print and web design studios, advertising and marketing agencies, in-house design departments, non-profit sectors, publishing companies, or work as freelance designers.
